Is it really fate that’s conspiring against me or just a bad run of luck? Since I don’t believe in either let’s just go with being sick. Ugh.
I’ve been working on the over-gown for my kirtle but at a snail’s pace because that gets thrown in with working on my daughter’s Halloween costume. That costume was almost finished when I got slammed with the plague, or cooties, or something. Who the hell knows but I’ve been pretty bad off for about 5 days now. I went to the doctor yesterday and got a lot of great meds, came home and slept for 12 hours. No kidding. Twelve hours. Now I’m up and creeping about and drafting the third take on this over-gown with plans to re-do the zipper on the sweetie’s costume tonight.
In a weird way, I’m sort of glad I was forced to slow down. It’s made me seriously examine the pattern I’ve drafted and tweak the heck out of it. I really want it to work so that I’m not constantly revising the stupid thing. I hate when that happens.
So, I’m going to copy the latest revisions and cut another toile. Hopefully this will be the last one before I cut it out of the real fabric. Keep your fingers crossed! After that I should probably lie down. 😉 Since I don’t have any pictures of projects, I’ll leave you with a cute picture of one of my dogs. Enjoy!
