We had a lovely day yesterday.  Made a day of one of my favorite events and celebrated my sweetie’s 20th year as a White Scarf of the Kingdom of Ansteorra.  (We live in Meridies now so it was great fun to share his heritage with friends in our new home.)

We had a table of munchies for folks dropping by to chat and a lovely book was provided to sign in with well wishes.  The weather was just perfect and that was truly the icing on the cake.

So here’s the second incarnation of my Flemish gown.  I tweaked the overgrown.  (The kirtle is still the same.)  It still needs a bit of work but it’s getting better each time I work with it.  I need to open up the armscye a bit tighten up the back and it should be completely done.  I like wearing it all with the straw hat.  It really looks super finished and hides the fact that I no longer have a lot of hair.  (I’m sporting a pixie cut these days.  Oddly enough, it’s much easier to do medieval headwear when you’ve got no hair to fuss with!)

I have a cool bit project coming up and I’m going to start a dress diary for that one.  I’m also considering porting this blog over to another site, but I’m still mulling that over.
