Holy cow!

Wow.  I looked at the date of my last post and was stunned.  Where did the time go?  Where did my summer go??  Why did I abandon my little blog for close to 3 months?

Simply put, I just needed a break.  🙂  I didn’t complete the IRCC 3 and felt a bit sorry for myself.  Moped for a bit and, after realizing the world didn’t end, started looking around for other stuff to do.  We visited family in August, school started, more stuff in September, furloughs in October, (and we manage to dodge that financial bullet…for now.  😉 ) and here we are.

So what have I been working on?  Well, I’ve been struggling a bit.  Trying to find my place not only in the SCA but in other activities as well.  I’ve found that I have tons of interests that I’d like to explore or, at the very least, revitalize.  I’ve been spinning some, started making doll clothes, (leading up to, hopefully, opening a little Etsy shop), and looking at other outlets for costuming.  I’m all over the place!!

But I’ve settled down.  Fall is the best time of the year.  Everything settles down, leaves change color and the earth gets ready to take a nice, long nap.  It’s restful, for all that my life feels so much the opposite of that.  And, taking a cue from Mother Nature, I’m chilling.  Doing only what I like, when I like.  I’m getting more done with more enthusiasm and that’s a good thing.

I’m going to catch up on all the bloggers who take care of their blogs, like good bloggers do, and get back to some neat projects I have on the burner.  At the end of the month, I’m heading to SAFF and, in November, to an SCA event.  I’m looking forward to a wonderful Fall and a great Winter.  I hope you are, too.
