Palate Cleanser

I have a goal.  It’s a simple goal, really.  I want to see one project through from the very beginning to the end.  I’ve always wanted to do something like this.  Concept to completion.

I have a project in mind and the research is ongoing.  With a lot of support, I even have a nice timeline to follow and that makes all the difference in the world for me.

Right now, I’m not going to tell you my project.  Instead, I’ll show you something pretty that I just completed.

I just finished these fingerless mitts for my daughter.  This is one of my favorite patterns to knit.  Seriously.  YoDSC_0192u can knit both in a day.  They make a nice gift and the cable is pretty fun to work.  The pattern is called Fetching and you can find it here. The yarn is a silk blend by Noro called Cash Iroha.  I’ve had this yarn in my stash for ages and it was nice to finally find something to do with it.

These little mitts were a palate cleanser for me.  I find if I knit something simple, almost automatic really, I can figure out solutions to problems.  In this case, I was stuck on a bit of research for my grand project and these little guys did the trick.

I hope you all had a lovely Halloween.  We here at Casa Imbalance have been battling bronchitis and the failure of our AC unit.

Y’all stay warm and dry out there.
